The Kafka Project

Kafka's Works in German According to the Manuscript

The main purpose of the Kafka Project is to put at everyone's disposal on the net all literary works and diaries in a philological form. By clicking on the navigation bar on the left, you can reach every text in a simple and effective way. The Kafka Project includes so far:

• The critical edition in German of «Missing» («Der Verschollene»), first published by Brod under the title "Amerika";

• The critical edition in German of «The Trial» («Der Proceß» );

• The critical edition in German of «The Castle» («Das Schloß»);

• The critical edition in German of all texts published during Kafka's life, which includes i.a. Kafka's preferred tale «The Judgment», the most famous «The Metamorphosis», and «In the Penal Colony», «A Country Doctor», «A Hunger Artist» a.m.o.

• The critical edition in German of the unpublished manuscripts 1897-1915, including the long tales «Preparations for a Country Wedding» («Hochzeitsvorbereitungen auf dem Lande») and «Description of a Struggle» («Beschreibung eines Kampfes»), each one in all versions;

• The critical edition in German of the unpublished manuscripts 1916-1918, including the octavo books, the essay about the Jewish theatre and the aphorisms;

• The critical edition in German of the unpublished manuscripts 1917/8-1922, including the «Letter to the Father»;

• The critical edition in German of the unpublished manuscripts 1922-1924;

• The critical edition in German of all Diaries and Travel Diaries according to the order of the manuscript.
